Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography Launches New Site
The Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC) at Florida State University is pleased to announce the re-launch of mancc.org which provides a unique glimpse into the creative process of over 60 prominent and emerging contemporary choreographers.
mancc.org features detailed descriptions of each choreographer’s work as it unfolded during their MANCC residency. Residency photos, research highlight videos and audio interviews enable audience members to learn about each individual artist’s creative process. Premiere sites, reviews and tour dates as well as artist and social media links offer an avenue for following the work over time. In addition, viewers will find a description of MANCC’s 2011-2012 Visiting Artist’s research as well as details about MANCC’s history, programming and impact.
The site is a collaborative work-in-progress that will be optimized for mobile devices soon and will continue to evolve over time in response to feedback. We encourage you to send comments to info@mancc.org or post directly to the site via Disqus.
The Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC), at the FSU School of Dance, is a choreographic research and development center whose mission is to raise the value of the creative process in dance.
