Spring Break Abroad
Museum Studies Program faculty Allys Palladino-Craig and Teri Yoo are headed to London this week with 17 graduate and undergraduate students for a marathon museum tour. The group will spend spring break visiting museums and historic locations around London including the British Museum, National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Tate Modern, and the Natural History Museum. This program highlights the rich, cultural offerings of London and places students in both historical and contemporary contexts for understanding museums and heritage sites on an international scale. Each student will select a location for continued intensive research leading to a term paper at the end of the course. "I've been searching for a way to give our students the experience of traveling abroad without such prohibitive time and financial burdens," said Allys Palladino-Craig, Director of the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, "The spring break trip is something a little different for International Programs and I think they are as excited as we are about its potential."
